After a two-year hiatus, SuperWeekend has re-started! We were super excited to be able to open the tower and get youth and adults up on the tower again! The tower is newly renovated with 100’s of hours of volunteer work by the committee and was in stunning form with fantastic weather. We also had a lot of new gear, as much of the existing harnesses and helmets aged out, and we added steel carabiners to reduce the wear on the ropes and hardware.
We served over 90 climbers on Sat, and at least 25 more on Sunday. This was the first time we have been open on Sunday, since units often don’t stick around for activities on Sunday. However, the weather was so nice that many people stayed and we had an active Sunday morning, with many people coming for both climbing and rappelling.
