With COVID restrictions this year, we were unable to host our annual Climbing Instructor class in the Spring. In its stead, we introduced our first RE-certification class, which was only a single weekend. Climbing Instructors who had an active or even expired card were able to come and have their skills re-evaluated. We re-certified 4 Level 1 and 8 Level 2 Climbing Instructors

In addition to reviewing the basics of knots and program management, every Level 2 had to demonstrate proficiency on four different route sets spanning a number of different scenarios. They also had to demonstrate proficiency in 4 different incident resolution scenarios and a comprehensive understanding of the updated BSA climbing standards.
